~ SWIMSUIT: Victoria's Secret (I'll be doing a post soon on where they're still selling suits!) ~
You would never know it from these pictures, but the beginning of this day was sooo rainy. While we were expecting there to be thunderstorms the entire trip, it still didn't make it less depressing. Luckily though by the afternoon we were out hiking and exploring the island.
We went on a hike near our AirBNB, just to be safe in case the storms came back, and it was rough! My shoulders were burnt from previous days in the sun, but of course I forgot and wore a strapless top. Then we were hiking up this giant hill and one of my hair ties just snapped off. Literally out of no where. And of course it was one of those super teeny clear ones so there was no hope of finding it. So I tried taking the one off of my other braid and it snapped too. I ended up having to use my camera holder strings to hold them together and Jose was super sweet and let me borrow his shirt. Although he then claimed that all the old ladies kept honking at his shirtless bod haha. I told him it was probably so they didn't run us over, but I don't think he was too convinced. I was a serious hot mess though haha. Although the view from the top of the hike was worth it!
It wasn't until later, when we were positive that the rain wasn't coming back, that we went in search of a beach. We didn't really know where we were going, but just figured that at some point there had to be beach access through all of the houses. We walked a few miles along the side of the road looking like some serious tourists before finding this beach. It was a near a restaurant, but pretty secluded and had a gorgeous view of the bay.
We found this deserted ship just off shore that I thought was super cool and it was one of the few places that had lots of trees right next to the sand. I totally wanted to go exploring inside the ship, but then got way too chicken when these guys that were fishing near us pulled a three foot fish out of the water. I figured, better not find out what's made the ship its home. Although if any one's interested in discovering some hidden treasure, it's still out there.
Just kidding! Maybe...
